The world of musical theatre has come to life in the form of fragrance. Inspired by the Broadway phenomenon Wickedand the song “For Good,” two exclusive perfumes have been launched, aiming to translate into scent the contrasting personalities of Glinda and Elphaba, the story’s protagonists.
The collection, developed by a renowned international perfume house, embraces the duality that made the musical unforgettable: on one side, Glinda’s sparkling lightness; on the other, Elphaba’s mysterious intensity.
Glinda’s perfume features luminous floral notes, with jasmine, peony, and soft fruity touches, conveying joy, brightness, and elegance. Meanwhile, Elphaba’s fragrance is deeper and more intriguing, with accords of amber, spices, and dark woods, evoking strength, determination, and rebellion.
“We wanted each fragrance to be an olfactory reflection of the characters: Glinda represents lightness and charm, while Elphaba embodies intensity and transformation. Together, they tell a story of contrast, but also of unity,” explained the creative director of the line during its presentation in New York.
The bottle designs also reflect this duality: Glinda’s features soft pink and gold tones, while Elphaba’s embraces emerald green and elegant black, both with minimalist and sophisticated finishes.
Among fans of the musical, the launch is already generating excitement on social media, seen as an opportunity to carry a piece of Wicked’s magic beyond the stage.
